Senior Director, Talent Development
This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise-wide talent development strategy within a fast-growing, mission-driven organization focused on education innovation. The position oversees leadership development, performance management, learning systems, and AI-enabled workforce upskilling to build a future-ready organization. It plays a critical role in aligning people strategies with business outcomes, ensuring employees at all levels have the tools to grow and perform. Acting as both strategist and operator, the role partners closely with executives, HR, and technology teams to drive scalable learning solutions. It requires a strong balance of vision, operational excellence, and hands-on leadership in a dynamic, evolving environment. Accountabilities:
Lead the enterprise talent development strategy by designing and executing programs that strengthen leadership capability, employee growth, and organizational performance while aligning with business priorities.
Own and evolve performance management frameworks, including review cycles, calibration processes, and talent mobility systems that ensure fairness, accountability, and impact
Design and implement leadership and manager development programs with structured learning pathways and progression models across all levels
Develop and scale AI and digital learning strategies that improve workforce adoption, productivity, and readiness for emerging technologies
Oversee learning infrastructure, including Learning Management Systems, ensuring scalability, usability, and data-driven measurement of learning effectiveness
Partner cross-functionally with HR, business leaders, and technology teams to embed learning into organizational workflows and performance systems
Use analytics and insights to evaluate program impact, identify gaps, and continuously improve talent development initiatives
Drive change management efforts to embed a culture of continuous learning and capability building across the organization
Requirements
Experienced talent development leader with a strong track record of building enterprise-scale learning, leadership development, and performance management systems in complex, fast-paced organizations.
8+ years of progressive experience in talent development, organizational development, or related HR functions, including 5+ years in leadership roles managing cross-functional teams
Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-wide performance management and leadership development programs
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect talent strategies directly to measurable organizational outcomes
Experience with Learning Management Systems, instructional design principles, and adult learning methodologies
Demonstrated ability to lead AI-enabled learning or digital transformation initiatives is highly valued
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills, including executive-level engagement
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to guide decisions and improve outcomes
Advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field preferred
