Covenant Woods in Hanover VA, is looking to hire a Director of Talent Management. This individual leads the strategy and execution of talent development and recruiting initiatives to strengthen leadership capability, enhance organizational culture, and support sustainable growth. This role partners closely with executive leadership and HR to build strong talent pipelines, address capability gaps, and ensure the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated talent management and recruiting strategy aligned with organizational priorities that support the 5-year strategic plan.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify current and future talent needs.
  • Partner with leadership to assess workforce needs and deliver targeted development and hiring solutions.
  • Design and lead leadership development and management training programs.
  • Build and sustain internal talent pipelines, including succession planning and high‑potential development.
  • Oversee full‑cycle recruiting efforts, including workforce planning, sourcing strategies, candidate experience, and employer branding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to improve selection processes, reduce time‑to-fill, and ensure quality hires.
  • Provide coaching to leaders on performance management, development planning, and team effectiveness.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in talent development, organizational development, leadership development, or related HR disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing leadership development and management training programs.
  • Experience supporting talent strategies within high‑growth or evolving organizations.
  • Proven ability to lead talent development initiatives, teams, or people‑focused programs.
  • Strong capability to develop and execute leadership strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and managers on performance, development, and leadership effectiveness.
