Finance Director
Salary : $153,545.60
The Incumbent will be responsible for establishing financial infrastructure for the Finance Department. The incumbent will maintain the Finance Department up to date in all aspects of accounting. Reengineers entire financial reporting process through development of new accounting, forecasting and operational system. Ensure the Annual Single Audit is complete on a timely basis. Reviews the final audit schedules for accuracy. This position will supervise the daily activities, attendance, time and performance of all accounting staff.
Duties
Reviews Indirect Cost calculation for all programs.
Review the month end close out (revenue/expense).
Reviews the month end close out Journal Vouchers.
Reviews the reconciliation of month end general ledger.
Reviews the SEFA schedule on a monthly basis.
Reviews the Petty Cash Reconciliation.
Reviews and monitors all Grants and Contracts with the Program Directors on a regular basis.
Prepares and presents Tribal government operating and capital budget for Council approval.
Review and posts Accounting Staff entries with APs, Payroll and Revenues.
Review the daily cash flow for different bank accounts.
Prepares and reviews all audit schedules for the annual audits.
Works directly with the Auditors for the annual audits.
Reviews daily activities of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
Assist and Train accounting staff within all aspects of their job and with all accounting principles.
Prepares all necessary documents for the annual indirect rate after annual audits.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Fifteen years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid NM Driver’s License.
Must pass a drug/alcohol, Driver’s License and Background Check.
Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Must be computer literate in MIP (Abila), QuickBooks, Sage, Word, Excel, Microsoft, Power Point and Outlook.
Must be able to multi-task and be organized.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read, write and communicate constructively with all departments.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Program Directors and other employees of the organization.
Ability to handle calculation and analysis of different given scenarios at all times.
Ability to lead team in designing, implanting, financial and accounting processes for enhanced productivity, streamlined processes, and improvements in financial controls.
Knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, comprehensive analytical financial reporting, establishing efficient financial structures, and developing and enforcing policies and procedures.
Knowledge in grants and contracts.
Working Conditions Works in office. Sits for long periods of time. May be required to move boxes. Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
