Job Description
PCI is seeking an experienced
Senior Estimator
for our
PCI Denver 583
branch operations based in
Aurora, CO . This individual will Bid/Sell/Secure work in the Drywall/Framing/ACT market and is responsible for the following duties:
Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects.
Maintaining positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
Soliciting subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self‑perform group.
Understanding market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
Being involved in internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
Participating in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
Negotiating specific scope and ensuring contract terms align with PCI proposal.
Contract administration for secured projects.
Utilizing wage and benefit schedules.
Hand‑off of secured projects to the Operations Team.
Assisting in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s).
Supporting other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration.
Performing complete and accurate job hand‑offs to the Operations team.
Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 annual salary plus non‑guaranteed annualized bonus program.
This position is safety‑sensitive.
Basic Requirements
At least 5–7 years of estimating construction projects.
Experience with estimating, project management, and managing specialty scopes of construction: Drywall/Framing, ACT, Raised Access Flooring, HAC’s, Structural Grid Ceilings, etc.
Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work.
Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On‑Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or related discipline.
Local to the Denver metro area.
