Role Overview
This role supports the Product Lifecycle Manager in initiatives driving the product portfolio through its lifecycle. The position involves close collaboration with the Product Lifecycle Manager and the end-to-end supply chain. This is a key support function for the business unit, focusing on data analysis to inform strategic decisions from product creation to discontinuation.
Key Responsibilities Analyze various data sets and report outcomes to drive data-based decisions across the product lifecycle. Conduct monthly inventory reviews of finished goods to reduce slow-moving or obsolete items (SLOBs). Develop runout scenarios for new product introductions or transitions to help establish transition timing. Support manufacturing network design projects, including the management of dual sourcing. Create depletion plans for discontinued items and manage end-of-life SKU processes. Gather data on customer inventory levels to forecast potential impacts during transitions and discontinuations. Provide data to inform Design to Value sessions and contribute ideas to cost improvement programs. Collaborate with stakeholders including NPD/NPI, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, and Project Management. Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Finance), Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Must possess an understanding of the product lifecycle and its phases. Experience should include interpreting large data sets, sharing insights with peers, and managing time against multiple priorities. Candidates must be able to collaborate effectively in both virtual and in-person settings.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Candidates should have a general understanding of item set up tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP, particularly SAP OTC. Experience with JDA software. Experience using Power BI reports and understanding of data science principles. Experience with SAP WP1 is a bonus.
Work Environment
This position is based in the Shelton office with a hybrid schedule, likely requiring onsite presence Tuesday through Thursday. Travel may be required up to 10-20%.
