Position Overview
Clearway Technology Distribution is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing and expanding client relationships, driving revenue growth, and serving as a trusted advisor to customers across our technology solutions portfolio.
The Account Manager will work closely with customers to understand their business needs, recommend appropriate technology products and services, and ensure an exceptional customer experience from initial engagement through ongoing account support. This role requires strong communication skills, sales acumen, and the ability to build long-term partnerships in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, and business stakeholders
- Identify upselling, cross-selling, and new business opportunities within assigned accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and escalations
- Partner with internal sales, operations, and vendor teams to ensure timely product delivery and issue resolution
- Prepare quotes, proposals, pricing recommendations, and contract renewals
- Maintain accurate account records, pipeline activity, and forecasting within CRM systems
- Monitor customer satisfaction, retention, and account performance metrics
- Stay current on technology products, distribution trends, and competitive offerings
- Achieve or exceed assigned revenue and margin targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or technology distribution
- Strong relationship-building and selling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously
- Experience working with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Technology industry experience strongly preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience in IT hardware, software, cloud, or managed services distribution
- Knowledge of channel sales and vendor partner relationships
- Ability to analyze sales data and customer buying trends
- Comfortable working in a quota-driven environment
