Job Description
Reports to: Parts Manager
Work hours: M-F (7:00 AM – 8:00 PM) with rotating Saturday schedule (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Summary The Parts Counterperson sells parts to all customers, over the counter, through the shop or on the phone. They are responsible for taking inventory of stock in storage and, if necessary, on shelves.

Essential Duties
Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner
Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
Notify the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received
Replenish assigned inventory daily
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered
Participate in all training programs that are made available
Understand, keep current, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that may affect parts sales
Remain fully compliant with Company HR trainings
Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Two years related experience and/or training preferred
Prior General Motors experience preferred
Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Proficient in basic math skills
