Description We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys practicing in probate and estate administration, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. This role is integral to the firm’s litigation teams and requires a high level of organization, judgment, and attention to detail. The Paralegal will work collaboratively with attorneys and staff across office locations and provide support on multiple matters simultaneously throughout all stages of litigation.
Requirements
Assist with all phases of probate and estate administration
Prepare, file, and serve probate pleadings, including petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and closing documents
Communicate with personal representatives, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and court personnel
Coordinate asset collection, valuation, administration, and distribution
Track statutory deadlines and compliance requirements
Maintain organized probate files and accurate case management records
Support attorneys through all stages of litigation, from pre‑suit investigation through trial, judgment, and post‑judgment proceedings
Draft and assist with pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas
Manage discovery, including document collection, organization, review support, and production
Assist with document‑intensive matters and e‑discovery workflows
Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
Prepare exhibits, trial binders, deposition summaries, and case chronologies
Assist with bankruptcy filings, claims, adversary proceedings, and related litigation matters
Support multiple attorneys across practice areas with varying caseloads and deadlines
Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff across multiple office locations
Serve as a reliable point of coordination to help ensure continuity, efficiency, and consistency across matters
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certification a plus
3+ years of relevant experience in probate and/or litigation
Working knowledge of civil procedure, discovery obligations, probate rules, and court filing requirements
Experience with commercial litigation and/or bankruptcy litigation strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Technology & Software
Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred: Experience with Filevine, iManage, Everlaw, or other case management or e‑discovery platforms; OCR/document scanning and text‑searchable PDF workflows; and state/federal e‑filing systems (including filing conventions, service lists, and acceptance/rejection troubleshooting)
Hybrid / Remote Flexibility This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, with a combination of in‑office and remote work depending on practice needs, experience level, and firm policies. For the right candidate, the firm would consider a fully remote arrangement. Remote work expectations include maintaining consistent business‑hours availability, promptly responding to attorneys, clients, and court communications, and participating in calls/video meetings as needed. The Paralegal must be able to manage deadlines independently, keep matter files current in the firm’s systems, and maintain regular status updates with the supervising attorneys. Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a professional, confidential workspace and must follow firm requirements for secure handling of client information (including use of firm‑approved systems, proper document retention, and confidentiality protocols). Occasional in‑person attendance may be required for hearings, trial preparation, training, or team meetings as business needs dictate.
Salary Description $58,500 - $64,500, commensurate with experience
