Entry Level Painter
Lightmenpainting, Portland, OR, United States
Lightmen Painting
is hiring an entry-level painter to join our team in the Portland area. This role is for someone who wants to learn the trade the right way, work hard, stay coachable, and grow into a strong long-term painter. You do not need years of experience, but you do need a solid attitude, reliability, and the ability to follow direction. You will assist with residential and commercial painting projects, including prep work, masking, sanding, caulking, priming, brushing, rolling, cleanup, and jobsite organization. This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants real experience in the field, not just a paycheck for standing around. We are looking for people who show up, work hard, learn fast, and take pride in improving over time. If you want to build actual skill and become valuable in the trade, this is a strong place to start.
Requirements
Willingness to learn and take direction
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Ability to work on your feet for long periods
Able to lift ladders, paint, tools, and materials
Comfortable working with your hands
Good attitude and ability to work with a team
Reliable transportation is preferred
Valid driver’s license is a plus
Basic construction or painting experience is a plus but not required
Must be willing to follow safety procedures and jobsite standards
Opportunity for raises based on performance
Hands‑on trade training
Opportunity to move into higher‑level painter roles
Opportunity to grow with a company focused on systems and long‑term development
Potential for additional responsibilities and leadership growth over time
