Specialty Account Manager, PR Sales (Central PR/Bayamón)
Sales Territory: Ideal candidates will reside within the territory.
This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and direct, hands‑on engagement. The Specialty Account Manager, PR Sales is responsible for building relationships with manufacturer representatives, physician office staff, and other associates to communicate the merits of referring patients to services provided by the business unit.
How you will make an impact
Develops therapy plans including targeting, routing, and call cycle based on territory knowledge.
Utilizes strategic business sales plan and market intelligence for authorization.
Implement the territory sales plan and work with manufacturer representatives to maintain current awareness of product updates and other pertinent information.
Responds to inquiries from referral sources.
Analyzes prescribing patterns across the territory and specifically by office.
Updates the territory sales plan to achieve defined results in collaboration with leadership.
Works with operations to review procedures and requirements while maintaining awareness of software use and capabilities.
Execute field-based responsibilities on a daily basis, including occasional on-site work at the pharmacy.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a BS/BA or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of sales experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) may be required in certain jurisdictions.
For associates working within Puerto Rico who are member or patient‑facing either in a clinical setting or in the Best Transportation unit, a current PR health certificate and a current PR Law 300 certificate are required for this position.
Preferred Skills/Experience/Education
Demonstrated sales experience, ideally within healthcare or pharmaceutical environments.
Proven experience engaging medical offices and collaborating with health plans.
Understanding of physician office operations and effective interaction with clinical and administrative staff.
