Mechanical Piping Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Estimator with a strong background in industrial piping and food & beverage processing projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately estimate complex projects up to $10 million in value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical and piping estimates for industrial and food/beverage facilities.
Review and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and other construction drawings.
Perform material takeoffs, labor estimates, and cost analysis.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure scope clarity.
Prepare comprehensive bid packages and participate in bid reviews.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able:
Lift and/or carry/move up to 40lbs
Sit and/or stand for long periods of time
Perform repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms
Visit job sites and perform duties with and around hazardous and/or flammable materials, as well as monitor heavy equipment and machinery
Complete job duties proficiently while adapting to changing demands and priorities
Work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time to perform duties in a safe manner
Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor conditions, loud noise, dust, slippery or uneven walking surfaces
May perform manual and repetitive tasks and body movements including bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying
This position is subject to ergonomic testing

Additionally, this position is designated as safety sensitive because it includes as part of the job duties operating a motor vehicle and working around heavy equipment and machinery. These positions are ones in which a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death. For the safety and health of yourself and other personnel, you must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while working around heavy equipment and machinery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical piping estimating.
Proven experience estimating projects up to $10M.
Strong understanding of industrial and food/beverage piping systems.
Proficient in reading blueprints, P&IDs, and construction drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and Bluebeam.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working on projects involving process piping, sanitary piping systems, plant utilities to include pneumatics, steam and condensate piping, hydronic piping, and other industrial plant construction.
Familiarity with fabrication and installation practices
