Manufacturing company seeks an experienced Mold Maker skilled in mold maintenance, repair, and the fabrication of molds and fixtures.
Requirements
High School, GED, Vocational School, Trade School, Technical School (Machinist Training preferred with Diploma or Certificate) and/or Higher Level of Education.
Minimum of 2 years of Technical School Training and/or 5 years of experience as a Mold Maker.
Read and understand blueprints, hand‑sketches, technical specifications; follow verbal and written work instructions.
Apply advanced mathematical concepts, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry.
Working knowledge of injection molds, mold maintenance, mold repair, and manufacturing processes.
Assist with estimating, planning, and completion of projects.
Plan and fabricate cavity‑forming components in close collaboration with the Tooling Engineer and Tool Room Manager.
Familiar with all mold‑making equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble tooling to verify part dimensions.
Experience with the “8‑Stages of Systematic Mold Maintenance.”
Record data required to track mold maintenance activities accurately.
Maintain the work area through good housekeeping and safety practices in accordance with 5S standards.
Familiar with SPA (Single Point of Accountability) and keep management informed by generating verbal and written reports on the status of projects.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
All candidates must pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10‑Panel Drug Screen. Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
