As a Lead Teller, you will coach tellers on customer service skills and supervise conversations that enable referral opportunities for PNC products. You will also greet customers in the lobby, educate customers on innovative technology, supervise customer transactions, and assist with outbound calling initiatives. This position is within PNC’s Retail Branch Banking Network and is based in San Antonio, Texas at the De Zavala branch.

Job Description
Coach, mentor, and lead tellers by example to deliver a unique customer experience aimed at improving customer financial wellbeing and creating loyalty while increasing share of wallet.
Process a variety of customer interactions and educate customers on alternatives available for their financial interactions, identify banking opportunities during the customer interaction, and refer as appropriate.
Identify opportunities through meaningful conversations with customers, making appropriate referrals to branch staff.
Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with customers and position PNC products to meet their needs, educating customers on options for managing financial transactions by leveraging technology, tools, and resources.
Demonstrate clear communication skills, transaction handling, and problem‑resolution processes; assist the Branch Manager in performance management and new‑hire selection processes.
Adhere to all policies and procedures, demonstrate sound judgment within established limits, and ensure teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 + years of related experience in banking or customer‑service roles.
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others.
Strong customer‑focus, risk management, and communication skills.
Proficiency with digital tools and technology for banking.
Ability to identify and act on customer opportunities and referrals.
Accurate and detail‑oriented with a strong sense of judgment and adherence to policy.
