About the Role

CBS Newspath is seeking a Producer with a strong commitment to journalism to coordinate news production and newsgathering operations for its Regional team. The position helps manage the network's response to breaking news and responds to video and editorial requests from CBS broadcasts, owned stations, affiliates, and clients. The Producer is also responsible for clipping and publishing Newspath video and scripts and assisting in the transmission and distribution of live video, edited video, and correspondent packages. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate news production and newsgathering operations for the Regional team. Manage the network's response to breaking news and communicate with affiliates and clients. Clip and publish Newspath videos and scripts, and assist in transmission and distribution of live and edited video. Work directly with stations/affiliates in Florida, Texas, and the Carolinas. Use social media platforms to spot viral and pre‑trending content and create social‑friendly videos. Provide weekend and nightside coverage. Qualifications and Experience

4 years local and/or network TV news experience or show producer experience preferred. Strong editorial judgement and excellent writing skills. Excellent editing skills; avid experience preferred. Highly developed relationship‑building skills. Ability to multi‑task and thrive in a dynamic, quickly‑changing environment. Focus on multi‑media content. Understanding of TV newsgathering and transmission technology. Knowledge of regional television markets and station relationships a plus. Degree in broadcast journalism or related field preferred. Additional Information

Hiring salary range: $85,000.00 – $91,000.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability benefits, tuition assistance, and PTO as applicable to the location and collective bargaining agreement. What We Offer
