Location Located in Loudonville, New York – Siena University.

Job Description Siena University invites applications for an 11‑month live‑in position of Residence Director, starting July 1. The role involves strengthening intellectual and personal growth for the campus residential community.

Administration of residence halls and facilities housing 250–600 students

Selection, training, and supervision of paraprofessional staff

Advising residents on residence‑hall and personal, social, and academic development; making appropriate referrals

Planning educational and social programs

Developing and enforcing policy

Adjudicating violations of student conduct policy

Serving as a member of an on‑call duty rotation

Participating on division and campus‑wide committees

Requirements Required Qualifications

Previous experience in student affairs or residence life

Ability to work effectively with diverse students

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work a non‑traditional schedule in a team‑oriented setting

Ability to live on campus

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field

Previous experience as a Residence Director

Additional Information This position is 11 months long and requires living on campus.

Compensation is $47,670 per year. The role includes a furnished one‑bedroom apartment, a board plan, health and dental benefits, tuition reimbursement for eligible employees and dependents, and professional development opportunities.
