Lead UX Designer

Dexcom Corporation is a global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and is expanding into consumer health technology. This role focuses on designing user‑centric solutions for our over‑the‑counter biosensor products.

Responsibilities

Design consumer‑health products that help users manage health through data and insights, spanning glucose readings, nutrition, activity, sleep, and related metabolic information.

Represent patients and users, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, lead workshops, define problem statements, capture requirements, and develop design solutions from concepts to high‑resolution screens and technical flows.

Translate raw data into meaningful insights, manage feature and system states, and communicate information effectively to users.

Plan and support research and testing activities with User Research and Human Factors teams, synthesize findings, and inform design decisions.

Lead presentations to executive and cross‑functional teams, communicate problems and opportunities, and influence solutions.

Work with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Quality, Legal, and Human Factors teams to ensure compliance and obtain approvals.

Foster a culture of support, continuous improvement, and design excellence; mentor colleagues and contribute to team growth.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Senior or Lead UX Designer on multiple products.

6+ years of industry experience in a design or UX‑related role.

Portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX design skill and process.

Bachelor’s degree in Human–Computer Interaction, Interactive Design, Industrial Design, Cognitive Science, or related field.

Experience designing mobile apps and familiarity with Material Design and iOS Human Interface Guidelines.

Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch); familiarity with AI design tools is a plus.

Experience in healthcare design, design systems, wearables, and WCAG accessibility guidelines is a plus.

Ability to work collaboratively, manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Education & Experience

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of related experience.

At this level a graduate degree may be desirable with 4 years of related experience.

Workplace Flexibility
Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120 km).

Salary
$141,800.00 – $236,400.00
