
Principal, Thought Leadership Content Strategist

Overview
The CXO Thought Leadership Center of Excellence is seeking a Principal Content Strategist to define and promote Adobe’s point of view in a rapidly evolving enterprise landscape. This role brings together business strategy, research insights, content strategy, and storytelling. You’ll focus on crafting the ideas and perspectives that position Adobe at the forefront of customer experience transformation. You will translate emerging technology trends, proprietary research, and executive perspectives into clear, defensible storylines to influence how senior leaders understand the future of marketing and CX strategies.
Responsibilities
Build and advance Adobe’s thought leadership agenda by defining clear, differentiated perspectives on customer experience, AI, creative technologies and enterprise transformation.
Translate research, market shifts, and executive insight into compelling points of view that influence how the market understands emerging trends.
Lead key initiatives that establish Adobe’s perspective on evolving categories, including AI forward customer experiences for marketing, technology, and creative domains.
Partner with senior collaborators to help inform high‑impact messaging and extend core narratives into flagship content.
Identify emerging trends and whitespace opportunities to inform future program priorities.
Serve as a strategic driver within the thought leadership program, connecting key initiatives with cohesive content creation.
Drive ongoing planning cycles by defining priorities and finding opportunities to expand the reach and impact of thought leadership.
Partner across marketing, communications, and digital teams to align on priorities and bring unified stories to market.
Help define how thought leadership is developed and scaled to ensure clarity, consistency, and strategic alignment.
Use data and performance insights to continuously refine thought leadership priorities and improve relevance, resonance, and impact.
Qualifications
10-12+ years of experience in strategic, insight‑led roles (e.g., thought leadership, content strategy, consulting, or strategy).
Proven ability to develop clear, differentiated POV grounded in technology trends, customer experience, and business transformation.
Demonstrated experience operating with a high degree of independence and good judgment, including direct engagement with senior marketing team members.
Experience structuring ambiguous problems and defining strategic direction and program priorities through to program plan.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex topics, including AI and new technologies, into clear, executive‑ready thought leadership.
Experience contributing to enterprise thought leadership or research initiatives within global marketing organizations.
Experience working with research, data, creative teams, and external partners to develop insightful content.
Experience incorporating AI into content strategy and thought leadership development, paired with strong editorial judgment to assess the quality, originality, and distinctiveness of ideas in an increasingly AI‑era landscape.
Experience in management consulting, industry analysis, or content strategy roles a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Expected Pay Range
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $140,100 – $261,150 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $180,300 – $261,150.
In New York, the pay range for this position is $180,300 – $261,150.
In Washington, the pay range for this position is $154,800 – $224,250.
