Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Golf Shop Merchandiser to lead the buying and merchandising of soft goods in a premier private club setting. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the retail experience at a vibrant 36-hole facility with an active membership and a strong culture of service excellence.
The ideal candidate has a passion for golf and fashion, a keen eye for presentation, and a strong understanding of retail performance in a luxury environment.
Experience Required
2+ years of retail buying or merchandising experience (golf, resort, or luxury retail preferred)
Strong knowledge of current apparel trends and premium golf/lifestyle brands
Proven ability to analyze sales data and manage inventory effectively
A creative and detail-oriented approach to visual merchandising
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A team player who thrives in a service-driven environment
Essential Responsibilities
Curate and manage a compelling assortment of men's and women's apparel, footwear, and accessories
Partner with top golf and lifestyle brands to deliver fresh, relevant product offerings
Oversee inventory levels, open-to-buy, and product life cycles to maximize sell-through and minimize markdowns
Create visually engaging displays and maintain a clean, organized, and inviting golf shop
Analyze sales trends and adjust buying strategies to drive revenue and profitability
Deliver exceptional service by assisting members with selections, special orders, and outfitting needs
Train and support golf shop staff on product knowledge and sales techniques
Plan and execute trunk shows, promotions, and member-focused retail events
Support Golf Operations with daily activities including player check-in, tee time management, lesson bookings, and opening/closing procedures
