Responsibilities

• Define and lead AI & GenAI strategy for electric, gas, and water utilities


• Advise CIO, CTO, CDO, and business leaders on AI‑led operating model transformation


• Architect and deliver end‑to‑end AI and GenAI solutions from concept to production


• Lead large‑scale AI programs across grid operations, asset management, customer operations, and energy transition


• Establish AI governance, Responsible AI, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NERC CIP)


• Build and scale AI teams, Centers of Excellence, and reusable accelerators


• Support pre‑sales, RFPs, executive solutioning, and strategic pursuits

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:
  
  
  
  • Generative AI & LLMs: GPT, Claude, Llama, Gemini; prompt engineering and agentic architectures
  
  
  • MLOps: CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, governance, retraining, and security
  
  
  • Data Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, cloud‑native data lakes
  
  
  • Utility Systems & Data: SCADA, AMI, OMS, GIS, DERMS, EAM
  
  
  
  


• Preferred Skills / Background:
  
  
  
  • Former Head of AI, Chief AI Officer, AI Practice Leader, or AI Startup Founder
  
  
  • Experience running AI departments, AI CoEs, or small AI‑focused companies • Proven record of building AI teams and scaling production‑grade AI solutions
  
  
  • Prior consulting experience with North American utilities Certifications
  
  
  
  


• Relevant certifications in AI/ML and cloud platforms:
  
  
  
  • Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer
  
  
  • Certifications in Generative AI tools
