Director of Social Work
Pine Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a leading healthcare provider in Philmont, New York, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Social Work to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our social work department and ensuring that our residents receive exceptional care and support.
Responsibilities
Lead the Social Work Department:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the social work department, including staff supervision, training, and development.
Develop and Implement Programs:
Design and implement programs to meet the social, emotional, and psychological needs of our residents, including assessing and addressing their needs, developing personalized care plans, and facilitating group therapy sessions.
Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team:
Work closely with other departments, including nursing, therapy, and dietary, to ensure comprehensive care and support for our residents.
Maintain Accurate Records:
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident assessments, care plans, and other relevant information.
Stay Current with Industry Developments:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and high-quality care.
Requirements
1 Year of Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in social work or a related field, preferably in a long-term care setting.
Strong Leadership Skills:
Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
Excellent Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.
Compassionate and Empathetic:
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to providing compassionate and empathetic care to our residents.
