
Business Strategy and Analysis Manager

Overview
Reporting to our Americas Emulsion Polymers Business Manager, as our Business Analysis & Strategy Manager, you will utilize a strong strategic mindset, business/financial analysis, team collaboration, and advanced analytics capabilities to create value for the Celanese Vinyls business, including Vinyl Acetate, Emulsion Polymers, and Redispersible Powders products.
Responsibilities
Establish analytical frameworks, conduct complex business analyses, and synthesize into business insights
Understand value chain and enhance Vinyls profitability through optimal global decision making
Support monthly price update and various analyses requests for Vinyl Acetate monomer and Emulsions for the Americas region
Develop commercial acumen through contract methodologies and customer interactions
Develop and assess multiple scenarios for complex contracts via quantitative and qualitative analyses
Assess customer/product pricing on regular basis and identify opportunities to improve margin via reducing price leakages and other levers
Utilize state-of-the-art business analytics and digitization methods to drive next evolution of business insights and decision making
Create effective presentations / deliverables for internal and external audiences
Monitor supply-demand balance and cost curve for vinyl acetate monomer and create interactive dashboards
Collaborate with the global cross-functional team to maximize value for the acetyl chain via import/export opportunities and co‑producer arrangements
Understand and utilize external industry and market research
Develop and leverage competitive intelligence and analysis
Create financial models and forecasts for strategic projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical industry, 5 year preferred. The experience should be in manufacturing, supply chain, business analysis or financial planning and analysis
Excellent spreadsheet skills and attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Prior experience with Alteryx and Tableau preferred
