Collision Estimator
Shawnee Mission Ford is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Collision Estimator to join our team. This role is critical in guiding customers through the repair process while ensuring accurate, timely estimates. Experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train the right person who brings the right attitude, work ethic, and attention to detail.
We’re not a mega-corporate collision center which allows us to do things our way. Our shop runs on accountability, communication, and integrity. We strive to provide every customer with a 5-star experience while also delivering quality repairs that we can be proud to stand behind.
Responsibilities
Customer introduction: Be able to clearly explain the repair process and expectations from beginning to end and ensure each customer feels comfortable leaving their vehicle in our hands.
Prepare accurate and thorough collision repair estimates and photo documentation
Communicate clearly with customers, insurance companies, and technicians
Manage multiple repair files at different stages simultaneously
Review damage and recommend and/or locate proper repair procedures
Track supplements and ensure approvals are handled efficiently
Maintain consistent follow-up to keep repairs on schedule
Deliver a professional, straightforward customer experience
Keep track of money owed
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Clear communication skills with customers and team members
Basic computer proficiency (estimating systems experience is a plus)
Previous collision estimating experience preferred, but not required
Willingness to learn and grow within the role
Have working smartphone with ability to download necessary apps
Valid Driver's License
Be able to pass drug screening
