GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Commercial Loan Processor has direct responsibility for the processing and closing of commercial loans and lines in compliance with state and federal laws and Bank lending policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Facilitate loan documentation preparation and review.
Review approved loan requests prepared by loan officers and analysts to ensure file completeness; follow-up with clients and loan officers to obtain necessary documentation and information.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness; monitor compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and the Bank's lending policies and procedures.
Serve as liaison between loan officers, outside counsel, insurance agents, vendors, and customers.
Establish, maintain, and update files, data bases, records, and/or other documents for recurring internal reports.
Order necessary documents from third party vendors, such as appraisal, title search, flood etc.
Prepare commitment letter(s) and denial letter(s). Cancel loans for withdrawn files when necessary, and update logs.
Prepare, create, and print all commercial loan documents for closings, including but not limited to, Commercial Mortgages, lines of credit, letters of credit, municipal leases, and secured loans.
Facilitate distribution of documents to customers via DocuSign.
Attend and contribute within weekly pipeline meetings.
Prepare fund request documents to allow the wiring of funds to closing.
Make recommendations for procedural changes to increase efficiency.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to perform duties independently with some direction
Take quick action, even with limited information
Operate various office equipment, secures supplies and files
Digital dexterity and eye/hand coordination in the operation of office equipment
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, manipulate a computer keyboard 75% of the day
Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with others in person, over the phone, and via email
Cognitive ability to learn and assimilate knowledge
Decision making and problem-solving skills somewhat varied in scope and complexity, requiring referencing and interpreting policies and procedures
Perform moderate to complex mathematical calculations
Maintain a high working knowledge of bank loan policy
Sufficient judgment and analytical skills to prepare complex documents and reports
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree
2-4 years relevant experience in loan servicing/administration
Knowledge of Laserpro preferred
Advanced knowledge of commercial real estate and real estate disbursement products, documentation, loan boarding and closing procedures
Advanced knowledge of commercial loan and business documentation
Advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, bank operational policies and procedures and bank products and services
Strong computer knowledge and aptitude
Intermediate or better knowledge of MS Office products and bank processing systems
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Basic accounting and strong math skills required
Advanced ability to analyze, research and interpret data
Adequate internet access at home to support laptop functionality when needed
