This is not a Senior DBA level. As shared during the search, we need someone who is experienced and can hit the ground running.
DBA - SQL Server, PostgreSQL
Nice to have: Linux experience and some scripting (they have some apps in production that run on Linux
TECHNICAL SKILL SETS - MUST HAVE: Proficient in installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases Proficient in setting up and managing streaming replication and/or logical replication, and failover mechanisms Proficient in designing and implementing backup strategies using pg_dump, pg_basebackup and/or pgBackRest and point-in-time recovery Knowledge of role-based access control Experience in partitioning and managing large datasets. Experience with extensions Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, or Perl for automation of DBA tasks (e.g., maintenance scripts, monitoring). Proficient in analyzing PostgreSQL logs for error detection, slow queries, and deadlock resolution. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues like memory bottlenecks and disk I/O problems. Proficiency in Linux environments (e.g., RHEL) for systems management and troubleshooting.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE A PLUS:
EnterpriseDB Oracle Database SQL Server pgwatch2 Pgpool and/or PgBouncer optimizing query performance Git for database code and configuration version control Ansible for configuration management Basic knowledge of GDPR, SOC2 Type II compliance standards AWS
