Faulkner University is seeking a highly qualified and creative individual to serve as
Director of Strategic Content and Storytelling
for the marketing department. The selected individual will lead the university's multimedia storytelling efforts. This individual will drive content strategy to enhance brand awareness, support student recruitment and donor development, manage the university podcast studio, and develop engaging content that highlights the Faulkner community. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position. Summary of Duties: Lead the creation of high-quality multimedia content (video, audio, digital, and print) for use across multiple platforms Guide content distribution across web, social media, email, and print to maximize reach and engagement Develop and execute content strategies that support enrollment growth, donor engagement and institutional visibility Research, identify, and develop impactful stories that highlight students, faculty, alumni, and campus life Manage and host university podcast programming, including recording, editing, publishing, and promotion Collaborate with campus partners on marketing campaigns, events, and initiatives and develop promotional materials to align messaging and priorities Support Department of Advancement efforts, including major events and fundraising campaigns to assist with donor development efforts Serve as a representative on campus for the study abroad program, promoting opportunities to prospective and current students Supervise student workers and assist in training content contributors for various media platforms Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred; Degree in communications, journalism, or related field preferred Minimum of 4 years related experience required Active member of the church of Christ Employment is conditional upon a satisfactory background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.
