Job Description In support of the Enfield Board of Education Mission Statement, the
EdTech Communications Specialist
plays a key role in advancing the district’s commitment to public education as an essential component of a free and democratic society. Through clear, accessible, and engaging digital communication, this position strengthens partnerships among families, schools, the community, and local and state stakeholders.
By maintaining and enhancing district communication platforms, creating meaningful content, and ensuring inclusive access to information, this role supports Enfield Public Schools’ mission to:
Promote a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging learning environment
Provide students and staff with opportunities to reach their full potential
Prepare students to become productive, lifelong learners
Foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning that embraces the arts and the world around them
Develop self-reliant, respectful, and responsible members of a diverse global society
Improve student learning by supporting accountability, transparency, and effective educational practices
Position Part-Time
Responsibilities Under the guidance of the Director of Technology & Innovation, the EdTech Communications Specialist will support the following areas:
Website Maintenance and Innovation
Maintain and update the district website to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility
Design and launch a new district website that aligns with district branding, improves navigation, and meets accessibility standards
District Communications
Collaborate on the maintenance and enhancement of the District Communications Plan
Manage and publish district communications and maintain the district calendar
Leverage communication tools to increase engagement and streamline processes
Train administrators and staff on communication platforms to build district-wide capacity
Content Creation
Assist with the preparation and editing of reports, articles, correspondence, and presentations
Create written and multimedia content for websites, newsletters, and other communication channels
Support the development of a district publication highlighting student achievements
Travel to district schools as needed
Qualifications
Experience with content management systems or ability to quickly learn district-adopted platforms
Knowledge of web accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Experience with basic graphic design and multimedia tools
Understanding of brand consistency and visual storytelling in a public school setting
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Ability to capture, curate, and publish photos and short-form video in compliance with FERPA and district policies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to continuous learning and evolving technology
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Position Type Part-Time
Salary up to $30 Per Hour
