Job Summary The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a book of personal lines insurance accounts, including home, auto, umbrella, and other personal policies. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and carriers. The Account Manager works directly with clients to assess their insurance needs, provide coverage recommendations, and ensure client satisfaction through timely service and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and service a personal lines book of business, including policy renewals, endorsements, and billing inquiries.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client requests, questions, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Review coverage needs and advise clients on appropriate policy changes and enhancements.

Process policy changes, quotes, cancellations, reinstatements, and bind coverage as needed.

Prepare renewal summaries, proposals, and comparisons for clients.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in the agency management system (e.g., EPIC, AMS360, Applied).

Coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, resolve billing issues, and ensure timely issuance of policies.

Identify opportunities for cross‑selling or upselling additional coverage and refer to producers as needed.

Ensure all activities are compliant with agency procedures and applicable regulations.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal team members.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Valid Property & Casualty Insurance License.

2–5+ years of experience in personal lines insurance account management.

Proficient in insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong knowledge of personal insurance products and markets.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
