We are working with a market-leading insurance brokerage with a dedicated real estate team seeking to hire a qualified Real Estate lawyer in New York who is looking to transition into a Real Estate Broker role. This position offers an opportunity to apply legal expertise in a client-facing, commercial environment, advising on real estate transactions and working with investors, developers, lenders, and their advisers. You will join a high-performing team with exposure to transactional risk insurance solutions tailored to real estate deals.
Responsibilities
Advising clients on the structuring and placement of insurance solutions for real estate transactions, including coverage and risk allocation. Reviewing transaction documents (purchase agreements, leases, title reports, and due diligence materials) to assess insurable and transactional risks. Managing underwriting processes, including insurer and client Q&A. Preparing submissions and negotiating policy terms with insurers. Supporting transactions through signing and closing. Building relationships with insurers, law firms, and real estate market participants. About you
Qualified lawyer with real estate transactional experience (private practice or in-house). Strong understanding of real estate transaction documentation and legal risk. Commercially minded with an interest in a client-facing role. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to manage multiple workstreams. This is an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate lawyer seeking a more commercial, advisory-focused role within the real estate and transactional risk insurance market.
