A leading creative organization is seeking a Creative Interactive Designer to join its team on a temporary, part‑time basis. This role blends strong visual design sensibilities with hands‑on technical execution to create engaging, emotionally resonant digital experiences.
About The Role The Creative Interactive Designer serves as a bridge between creative vision and technical execution, transforming ideas into interactive digital experiences. This role collaborates closely with cross‑functional partners to design and develop immersive content that enhances the overall digital presence and consumer experience.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop interactive digital experiences such as creative websites, user interfaces, animations, and rich media content
Translate creative concepts into technically sound, high‑quality interactive solutions
Collaborate with designers, content producers, editors, and production teams to deliver engaging digital experiences efficiently
Build, enhance, and maintain interactive applications while contributing to new development efforts
Animate and program interactive assets using Flash and related technologies for web, video, and multimedia formats
Optimize code and performance to ensure smooth, user‑friendly experiences
Integrate editorial, illustration, photography, typography, motion, and other creative assets into cohesive interactive solutions
What You Bring
Experience in Creative, Redesign, Production Art, Technical Art, Process Art, or comparable transferable roles
Five or more years of experience using programming and scripting languages such as ActionScript, PHP, and JavaScript, or equivalent experience
Strong expertise in Flash and Flex development, including ActionScript and Flash frameworks
Solid understanding of HTML, XHTML/CSS standards, XML, and web development best practices
Working knowledge of object‑oriented programming principles
Experience integrating Flash applications with PHP or similar backend environments
Ability to design intuitive interfaces with a strong eye for layout, motion, and interaction
Nice to Have
Experience with ASP, Java, or Python
Background in technical or application architecture leadership
Motion graphics or animation production experience
