Brand Coordinator

Sitreps, Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Brand Coordinator Location: Arlington, VA · hybrid (3 days in-office)

Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 base · straight salary

Employment type: Full-time

About the Company Our client is building a distributed sensing network across civilian and commercial vessels—combining HD cameras, satellite communications, and onboard AI—to create a live, global picture of maritime activity. Our system is already deployed with U.S. government partners and across a growing fleet of vessels, supporting coast guards, navies, insurers, and researchers.

We’re a fast-moving, early-stage team based in Arlington, Virginia, building hardware, software, and an entirely new category of maritime intelligence. We’re scaling quickly, attending conferences across the country, and expanding our presence—so we need someone who can ensure our brand shows up as strong as our product.

About the Role This is a brand ownership role, not a traditional outreach marketing position.

Our product resonates in the right rooms—what we need is consistency across every touchpoint that represents the company: conference materials, booth collateral, LinkedIn content, hiring assets, decks, swag, and all the small things that tend to get rushed in a high-growth environment.

You’ll sit within the Growth team and collaborate across the entire company—Growth, People Ops, Leadership, and Engineering—to turn a static brand kit into a system that is actively used. You’ll translate internal conversations into high-quality external materials and ensure every detail reflects a polished, intentional brand.

If you have strong writing skills, an eye for design, and opinions about typography and layout, you’ll feel at home in this role.

What You’ll Own Brand Consistency

Maintain and evolve the brand system (logos, templates, color palette, assets)

Ensure all teams use a centralized, consistent set of materials

Conference & Event Collateral

Design booth graphics, printed materials, sponsored content, and giveaways

Support events ranging from large-scale conferences to niche industry gatherings

Own weekly posting cadence

Develop a consistent voice aligned with hiring and brand goals

Design and manage production of branded items (apparel, giveaways, etc.)

Handle vendor relationships, ordering, and inventory

Decks & Proposal Design

Partner with leadership on investor, customer, and government-facing presentations

Ensure all materials align with brand standards (no generic templates)

Cross-Team Design Support

Act as the go-to resource for Growth and People Ops

Deliver high-quality work quickly and consistently

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

The brand kit becomes the single source of truth across the company

All conference materials feel cohesive and professionally executed

LinkedIn presence is consistent, on-brand, and generating inbound candidates

Swag production runs smoothly without last‑minute rushes

The Growth team involves you early in planning, not just execution

You May Be a Fit If

You’re a strong writer with clear, concise, and polished communication skills

You have hands‑on design experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, or InDesign

You have a strong visual instinct and can quickly identify when something feels “off”

You use AI tools to enhance your work—not replace your thinking

You can translate high‑level conversations into effective deliverables without a formal brief

You’re comfortable working with both senior stakeholders and operational tasks

You’re able to work from the Arlington, VA office at least three days per week

Experience We are flexible on experience level. This role is a strong fit for:

Early‑career candidates (1–2 years out of university) with a background in English, communications, or design, eager to grow into a broader marketing role

Experienced individual contributors looking for ownership and impact within a mission‑driven company

Base salary: $55,000 – $75,000 (depending on experience)

Full benefits package

High visibility across the organization

Opportunity to expand into broader marketing and go‑to‑market responsibilities

Why This Role Matters First impressions happen fast. Today, those impressions are often shaped by whatever materials were pulled together at the last minute.

This role ensures every interaction—whether with a customer, candidate, or partner—feels intentional, consistent, and reflective of the company’s mission and quality.

Note:

Selecting “no” will not eliminate you from consideration for this role.
