Role Overview
The Senior Director, Supply Chain Logistics leads IDT’s supplier management strategy to enhance flexibility and scalability in support of the company’s continued growth. This role drives material cost improvement initiatives while enabling the business through effective cost‑savings programs, supplier performance optimization, and reliable material fulfillment.
This position reports to the Vice President, Global Operations and is part of the Operations department located in Coralville, IA; Raleigh, NC; San Diego, CA; Boulder, CO; Madison, WI; Fargo, ND and will be an on‑site role.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement world class sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and risk management policies
- Oversee the construction and negotiation of complex business arrangements and contracts
- Interface with DHR corporate procurement for workshops, metrics (PPV/VAVE) and to ensure alignment
- Leads applicable acquisition onboarding activities, ensuring timely, effective integration aligned with business objectives
- Manage compliance world‑wide and audit integrity
- Lead critical supplier contract negotiations by providing industry knowledge, and understanding of practices and systems, to reporting associates
- Establish a continuous cost reduction program through the complete supply chain, while increasing flexibility and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or science related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive work experience managing procurement functions on behalf of an organization
- Working knowledge of SAP, or a similar tier one ERP system (AX, Oracle, etc.) is required
- 6+ years of managing people
- Strong negotiator and has a good grasp of contract law / structure
- Convey information with clarity and directness, ensuring the message is understood across diverse, global teams
- Strong influencing skills with internal and external stakeholdersHighly action orientated with ability to work at a fast paced, accustomed to business travel (including international); strategic thinker and can distill the needs of the business to external suppliers / internal stakeholders
Travel and Physical/Environmental Requirements
Ability to travel – 50%
Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to a minimal amount frequently
Constant (67%-100% of work day) sitting: to assume a position in which the weight is largely supported by the buttocks, usually with the body vertical and the thighs horizontal.
Desirable Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in Management, Supply Chain Operations, or Business, preferred
- CPIM/CPM certification or advanced degree (Master’s in Business Administration) preferred
- Successful implementation of Lean Materials Management principles, preferred
- Prior professional experience within an ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 certified organization preferred
- International experience is preferred
Salary and Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $170,000 - $240,000. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
