Our client is a well-established middle-market investment bank with a strong presence across consumer, industrials, technology, and healthcare sectors. They are seeking a high-caliber Investment Banking Director to join their Los Angeles office. This role is ideal for a senior banker who has begun building their own book of business and is motivated to grow into a Managing Director over the next few years.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution
- Lead and manage end-to-end execution of middle-market M&A transactions
- Oversee financial analysis, valuation, modeling, and marketing materials
- Coordinate due diligence, negotiations, and transaction closing processes
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients throughout transaction lifecycles
Origination & Client Development
- Develop and expand relationships with business owners, private equity firms, and other intermediaries
- Contribute to sourcing new M&A opportunities and generating deal flow
- Begin building and expanding a personal book of business with firm support
- Participate in industry coverage efforts across consumer, industrials, technology, and healthcare
- Collaborate with senior bankers on pitches and business development initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in investment banking, with a focus on middle-market M&A
- Demonstrated ability to lead transactions and manage client relationships
- Early-stage or growing book of business, or strong evidence of origination potential
- Desire and ambition to progress into a Managing Director role in the near to mid-term
- Strong financial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
- Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring junior bankers
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
