Title: James Madison University Presidential Engagement Fellows Program

Type: Part‑time wage

Stipend: $14,813 paid over 10 months

Housing stipend: $500 per month

Duration: 10 months (average 29 hours per week)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Recent James Madison University graduate (undergraduate or graduate) within one year of graduation (May 2025, December 2025, or May 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Commit to the JMU Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Approach complex problems with interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and acceptance of diverse goals and priorities.
  • Create and maintain meaningful and productive connections between the university and the community; serve as an active cohort member.
  • Explore personal strengths, improve weaknesses, and develop career options and life‑plan goals through experiential learning.
  • Gain an understanding of organizational communication, interconnectedness, and problem solving.

Conditions of Employment

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

This is a part‑time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over a calendar year with no benefits.
