Syndicated Loan Operations Analyst (New York)

Our client is seeking an experienced loan operations professional to join the FID Secured Lending (FSL) Operations team on a temporary basis. This team is experiencing significant volume growth, and the role will provide immediate production support across loan booking, participant servicing, and agency servicing functions within LoanIQ. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time. Prior experience at a major syndicated lending institution, either as an agent bank or participant bank, is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities: Book new loan facilities in LoanIQ based on credit agreement terms, including deal, facility, and loan-level hierarchy setup Extract and input key commercial terms such as pricing grids, commitment amounts, maturity dates, repayment schedules, borrowing base structures, and financial covenants Ensure accurate setup of deal economics to support regulatory capital calculations, risk exposure, and credit availability Coordinate with front office, legal counsel, and product control teams on deal closings and funding instructions Process lifecycle servicing events, including interest payments, fee payments, principal repayments, rate resets, rollovers, amendments, extensions, and waivers Reconcile agent bank notices against LoanIQ records and resolve discrepancies involving payment amounts, rates, or accrual periods Monitor borrowing base certificates, compliance certificates, and covenant reporting received from agent banks Perform administrative agent servicing functions, including payment distributions to lender syndicates and managing lender positions following syndications, assignments, participations, and commitment changes Generate and distribute lender notices, including drawdowns, rate settings, paydowns, amendments, and waiver requests Process SOFR rate resets, calculate all-in rates including margins and floors, and initiate rollover transactions Ensure all transactions are completed within established SLAs and in accordance with operational procedures and risk controls Escalate exceptions, fails, and reconciliation breaks promptly through appropriate channels Support month-end and quarter-end processing, including accrual verification and GL reconciliation assistance

Required Qualifications: 3–4+ years of hands-on syndicated loan operations experience within a bank, fund administrator, or financial institution Direct daily experience with LoanIQ required, including navigating deal/facility/loan hierarchies, processing servicing events, and troubleshooting independently Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas: loan booking/deal setup, participant servicing, or agency servicing Strong understanding of SOFR-based lending conventions, including lookback mechanics, compounding methods, and fallback provisions Ability to interpret credit agreements, amendments, and agent notices to extract operational terms Strong attention to detail in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience at a bulge-bracket or large regional bank in loan operations or servicing Experience supporting structured credit products such as CLO warehouses, CRE warehouses, subscription finance, or capital call facilities Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar workflow/case management tools
