Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Loan Operations professional
to support the
FID Secured Lending (FSL) Operations Team
on a temporary basis. This role is driven by significant business growth and requires immediate contribution to production activities including loan booking, participant servicing, and agency servicing within LoanIQ.
This is a
hands-on role
requiring minimal ramp-up. Prior experience within a
syndicated lending environment
(agent bank or participant) is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Booking & Deal Setup
Book new loan facilities in LoanIQ based on credit agreement terms
Configure deal, facility, and loan hierarchy structures
Extract and input key commercial terms including:
Pricing grids
Commitment amounts
Maturity dates
Repayment schedules
Borrowing base structures
Financial covenants
Ensure accurate setup of deal economics for regulatory capital, risk exposure, and credit availability
Coordinate with front office, legal, and product control on deal closing and funding
Participant Servicing
Process lifecycle events including:
Interest and fee payments
Principal repayments
Rate resets and rollovers
Reconcile agent bank notices with LoanIQ records and resolve discrepancies
Monitor borrowing base certificates, compliance certificates, and covenant reporting
Manage amendments, extensions, and waivers for participant positions
Agency Servicing
Perform administrative agent servicing in LoanIQ
Process and distribute payments (interest, fees, principal) to lender syndicates
Calculate pro-rata and non-pro-rata distributions
Manage lender positions including:
Syndication activity
Trade settlements (assignments/participations)
Commitment changes
Generate and distribute agent notices:
Drawdowns
Rate settings
Paydowns
Amendments and waivers
Process SOFR rate resets and calculate all-in rates including margins and floors
Controls & Reporting
Ensure transactions meet SLAs and adhere to risk controls
Escalate exceptions and breaks promptly
Support month-end and quarter-end processes:
Accrual validation
GL reconciliation
Required Qualifications
3-4+ years of experience in syndicated loan operations
Mandatory hands-on experience with
LoanIQ
Experience in at least
two of the following :
Loan booking / deal setup
Participant servicing
Agency servicing
Strong understanding of
SOFR-based lending conventions
Ability to interpret credit agreements and extract operational terms
High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at a large bank or financial institution
Exposure to structured credit products:
CLO warehouses
CRE warehouses
Subscription finance facilities
Experience with workflow tools such as Microsoft Dynamics
