Digital Marketing Specialist
Full Time Exempt
Location : Onsite in Norfolk, Virginia or Dallas, Texas Corporate Office
JOB PURPOSE:
The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a central role in growing Harbor Group Management's digital presence and lead pipeline. This role is responsible for building and optimizing multi-channel campaigns, producing high-quality written and visual content, and using data-driven insights to continuously improve marketing performance across all properties and platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by Harbor Group Management Company.
Create, maintain, and publish digital marketing content by writing appealing descriptions and presenting images and photography in an appealing way. Assist in managing vendor relationships to ensure timely, effective development of SEO, SEM, display campaigns, and ILS (Zillow, Apartments.com etc.) advertising which includes reviewing deliverables, tracking spend and reporting on performance.
Maintain advertising tracking and ensure proper system integrations between marketing platforms, CRM, and reporting tools. Audit lead and contact lists, segmentation & clean up. Enhance marketing performance by optimizing online content and consistently documenting insights, results, and optimization efforts for the internal team. Regularly claim, verify, and update online business listings across platforms including Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, Yelp, ApartmentRatings, and other relevant directories; conduct ongoing audits to ensure accuracy and brand consistency across communities. Audit and validate marketing costs for key campaigns, categories, and channels. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure creative execution is in alignment with marketing goals. Audit and maintain consistent and on-brand messaging for each community.

Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree plus 3-4 years of digital marketing experience or equivalent, ideally in a multi-property, multi-location or real estate context. SEO and SEM knowledge are a plus; direct experience is not required. Excellent writing skills and the ability to verbally express ideas and opinions to individuals and groups. Experience identifying specific areas for change, efficiency, and innovation. Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Analytics and CRM system knowledge. Comfortable managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and reporting performance within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Strong interpersonal skills with customer service-focused mentality and the desire to support, train, and partner with fellow associates. WORKING CONDITIONS : This position could require occasional evening and/or weekend work.
