opportunity with a well-established Bank for their office located in Atlanta, GA.
The
Mortgage Loan Processor
will be responsible for below specific duties.
Your specific duties will include: Review and verify residential mortgage loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Analyze borrower financials including assets, liabilities, and employment history. Coordinate and collect required documentation (VOE, W-2s, pay stubs, tax returns, etc.). Communicate with credit bureaus and employers to validate borrower information and assist with re-scoring when needed. Work as a liaison between borrowers, loan officers, and third parties. Assist loan officers with file submissions and ongoing processing activities. Track loan progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and secondary market guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM loans). Identify and resolve discrepancies, recommending denial when minimum standards are not met. Maintain accurate records using automated systems and mortgage software (Encompass preferred). Support appraisal and underwriting processes. Required qualifications for the position include:
Minimum 3 years of mortgage loan processing experience. Strong knowledge of loan types including FHA, VA, and Non-QM loans. Understanding of mortgage regulations, compliance, and secondary market requirements. Proficiency in Encompass or similar loan processing systems (preferred). Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. Preferred qualifications for the position include:
Encompass software experience. Pay Rate Range: $24.04 - $26.44 per hour
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
