Compliance Specialist

Become a part of our talented deugro team, as we look for a Compliance Specialist in The Woodlands (Houston), USA. Key Responsibilities:
The Compliance Specialist role is a support role for the North American Legal and Compliance team within deugro. The successful candidate will be tasked with oversight and management responsibility over certain legal and compliance related tasks, the complexity of which will vary based upon the qualifications of the individual selected. The Compliance Specialist duties and responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. export control regulations and other applicable trade compliance requirements. Proactively engage with internal departments to understand operational needs and assess potential export control and trade compliance impacts. Develop, document, and clearly communicate export regulatory guidance to relevant stakeholders across the organization. Design, develop, and conduct quarterly export compliance and trade compliance training sessions. Coordinate with Global Compliance to ensure alignment on training content, messaging, and compliance priorities. Conduct quarterly compliance audits, identify gaps or deficiencies, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and targeted training initiatives. Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable export control laws, regulations, and internal policies. Facilitate and manage communications with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and trade organizations as necessary. Support and participate in annual Compliance Health Checks across business units and functions. Oversee the TSA Compliance Program, including but not limited to: Maintaining and renewing Security Threat Assessment (STA) documentation; Updating IACMS on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as required; Managing KSMS access, disassociations, inspections, and related compliance obligations. Assist with the CTPAT program as required, in coordination with relevant departments. Identify, assess, and mitigate potential export and trade compliance risks. Stay current on changes to international trade regulations, export control laws, and enforcement trends. Provide support to the Global Trade Controls Team as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Occupational Health & Safety:

Bachelor's degree. Experience working in logistics required. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to handle multiple, competing workloads with changing priorities to meet necessary deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Administration:
Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be familiar with the data works system and be able to input and retrieve data. Behaviors:
