Senior Pricing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Has knowledge and a full understanding in all aspects of international freight forwarding, including overseas services such as local pick-up or inland transportation procedures, bookings, document preparation, port handling, air transportation, customs clearance, and delivery processes in all modes of transport eg. barge, heavy haul, rail, as well as rigging.
Calculates rates and price conversions.
Converts and verifies shipment weight and volume.
Uses rate charts to convert foreign currency to U.S. Dollars and vice-versa.
Communicates by e-mail, telephone, and others (e.g., MS-Teams) with foreign operations and local customers.
Possesses excellent time management skills and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight timelines.
Customer service responsibilities include maintaining close communication with the operational team and deugro overseas offices throughout the process.
Preparing proposals to clients, overseas offices, and international agents for all types of transport, as best suited for the cargo and strictly meeting the required deadlines.
Keep all rate and service contracts, port tariffs etc. on file in an organized manner.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

Fundamental knowledge and competence in all modes of transportation including, but not limited to, air, ocean, drayage, and inland transportation as well as barging, rail, heavy haul & rigging. Expected to learn and to reach competences in any deficient areas e.g., air / rail.
Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, air & seaports.
Able to choose proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs and able to quickly assess a suitable vendor for such operation e.g., heavy haul on basis of their coverage/region of operation, as well as a good knowledge of a vendors' inventory of available/suitable equipment to perform a given heavy haul and/or rigging operation.
Possess knowledge and/or awareness of risk factors (analyzing terms and conditions) and be familiar with basic measures to manage and mitigate risk.
Basic knowledge of U.S. Federal Regulations (i.e., DOT, FAA, FMC, EAR, ITAR, FCPA, Hazmat) and other government agency requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills; and PC skills.
IMO or IATA DGR training preferred
