Sheet Metal Fabricator I (Entry-Level)
We are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator I to join our manufacturing team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with foundational experience in metal fabrication, CNC machinery, and blueprint reading. You will support the production of high-quality sheet metal components while maintaining safety, precision, and efficiency standards. Location: Duncan, SC Pay Rate: $22.00/hour Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Perform sheet metal fabrication, modification, and finishing to meet customer specifications Operate and maintain various fabrication equipment and machinery Select appropriate metal types, gauges, and materials for each job Ensure all work meets quality control standards and production deadlines Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety guidelines Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete assigned tasks Equipment & Tools (Hands-On Experience Preferred) CNC and Manual Press Brake Machines Strippit / Turret Punch Press Shears, Notchers, Drill Presses Deburring Equipment (Arku, grinders, sanders, polishers) Rollers (manual and powered) Band Saws and Cutting Tools Spot Welding Equipment Laser Cutting Machines (basic exposure preferred) Forklift (certification a plus) Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing, Welding, or Metal Fabrication (preferred) Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and produce simple parts with minimal supervision Familiarity with metal types, gauges, and material selection Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to follow instructions and work within standard manufacturing processes Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Preferred Skills & Keywords (ATS Optimization) CNC Machine Operation Metal Fabrication & Finishing Blueprint Reading & GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
