The Director, Brand & Agency Partnerships is a sales role responsible for driving new and existing revenue through direct brand and agency relationships. This role owns the full sales cycle—from proactive outreach and idea generation to proposal development and deal closure—while collaborating closely with internal teams to bring custom, insight‑led programs to market.
This role is ideal for a seller who understands how to originate demand, sell non‑standard media solutions, and act as a strategic partner to clients—not just a transactional vendor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and grow a book of business across brand‑direct and agency partners
- Consistently originate and close net‑new and expansion revenue
- Build and maintain a 3–4x pipeline against annual quota
Drive revenue across Mirror Digital offerings, including:
- Custom & branded content
- Influencer & creator‑led programs
- Programmatic solutions
- Exclusive publisher partnerships and tentpole cultural moments
Client & Agency Relationships
- Develop senior‑level relationships with brand marketers, strategists, and agency teams
- Serve as a trusted advisor, translating client objectives into compelling media solutions
- Navigate complex agency structures (HoldCos, PMCI, content teams, influencer, commerce, etc.)
- Lead QBRs, upsell conversations, and long‑term partnership planning
Sales Strategy & Deal Execution
- Proactively pitch ideas tied to cultural moments, heritage months, sports, entertainment, and tentpoles
- Lead proposal development in partnership with Strategy, Ad Ops, and Marketing
- Present and sell through custom programs with confidence and clarity
- Negotiate pricing, scope, and deal structure to close revenue efficiently
Partner closely with:
- Strategy & Insights on audience and cultural positioning
- Ad Operations on feasibility and delivery
- Marketing on GTM narratives and case studies
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and CRM hygiene
- Share market insights, client feedback, and competitive intel with leadership

QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of digital media experience (publisher, network, or media company)
- Proven track record of closing custom, six‑figure+ programs
- Experience selling into brands and/or major holding company agencies
- Comfort selling non‑standard, idea‑led media solutions
- Strong storyteller and persuasive presenter
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect culture, audience, and brand objectives
- Highly organized with strong follow‑through and deal management skills
- Confident negotiator with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to operate in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Nice to Haves
- Experience in multicultural, inclusive, or culture‑driven media
- Familiarity with influencer, creator, or branded content ecosystems
- Understanding of programmatic media and audience targeting frameworks
- Existing relationships with Publicis, Omnicom, WPP, Dentsu, or IPG agencies

Salary Range: $100K-$135k + Sales Incentives
