A FAR Part 121 Supplemental Air Carrier, Gridiron Air is a leading charter airline specializing in customized flight solutions using its fleet of Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of our business and will require evening and weekend availability, when needed.

Summary


The Director, Charter Sales and Leasing is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding Gridiron Air’s retail and wholesale charter sales, as well as overseeing aircraft leasing opportunities. This role requires a proven track record in sales, negotiation, and relationship management within the aviation, hospitality, or luxury travel industries. The Manager will drive revenue growth through proactive client acquisition, account management, and market development, ensuring that Gridiron Air maintains a competitive position in the global charter market.


This position serves as both a strategist and an executor—balancing commercial growth with operational realities and ensuring alignment with Gridiron Air’s high standards of service, hospitality, and operational excellence.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and manage charter sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets.

  • Lead outreach to retail, corporate, and broker clients to promote Gridiron Air’s charter services.

  • Oversee aircraft leasing opportunities, including short-term and long-term agreements, ensuring optimal aircraft utilization.

  • Negotiate charter contracts and lease agreements in alignment with company policies and financial objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and industry partners.

  • Partner with Operations and OCC teams to ensure seamless execution of charter flights, including scheduling, routing, and service delivery.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive positioning.

  • Represent Gridiron Air at industry events, trade shows, and client presentations.

  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and reports for senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop client-facing materials, campaigns, and initiatives.

  • Provide feedback to leadership on service enhancements, product offerings, and market needs.

  • Management personnel are expected to have a thorough understanding of the Gridiron Air Safety Management System (SMS). They should be competent in executing responsibilities aligned with their training and involvement in the SMS. Additionally, they are required and supported to identify and report safety hazards, uncover safety deficiencies, and raise safety concerns within the operation, thereby fostering a proactive safety culture.

  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs and shifting company priorities.


Authorities



  • Authority to negotiate charter sales contracts and leasing agreements within established guidelines.

  • Authority to represent Gridiron Air in client and broker meetings, industry events, and negotiations.

  • Authority to develop and implement sales and leasing strategies that align with company objectives.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation Management, or related field required.

  • 8 plus years of experience in charter sales, aviation leasing, or high-value sales within hospitality/luxury travel.

  • Proven success in building client relationships and exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and contract management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.

  • Knowledge of aviation industry regulations, charter operations, and financial structures preferred.

  • High proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools.

  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed, including evenings and weekends.
