Role Overview
The Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) within the Office of Social Equity and Innovation is seeking Intake Specialists to support the Runaway, Outreach, Notification, and Intervention (RONI) Project and the Denver Anti‑Trafficking Alliance High‑Risk Youth Multidisciplinary Team (DATA HRY MDT). The role requires working with parents, guardians, and youth to complete police reports, conduct follow‑up, provide safety planning, and coordinate with Outreach Specialists and service providers.
Responsibilities
Take the initial runaway police report, complete screening tools, and determine next steps.
Assist parents/guardians with reporting to law enforcement when exigent circumstances exist.
Provide community members with an overview of the RONI Project and resources for youth who run away or are at risk for exploitation or trafficking.
Assign Youth Outreach Specialists to conduct engagement once a youth is located.
Maintain ongoing communication with service providers and parents/guardians.
Make immediate determinations during crisis situations.
Document all interactions in department databases.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prior experience working with youth and families
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Services, Child Development, or a related field.
One (1) year of experience implementing behavioral and/or educational programs for youth and assisting in developing and implementing treatment plans.
One (1) year of post‑high school education may be substituted for each required year of experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Target Pay: $25.30 – $37.96 USD per hour.
