Automotive Dealership Payroll Administrator
Job Description:
We are looking for a knowledgeable payroll administrator to process, calculate & oversee the company’s payroll for approximately 120 employees. The payroll administrator will process payrolls with accuracy & efficiency. Must have great communication skills to interact with employees & management and the ability to keep information confidential.
Responsibilities
Gather information on hours worked for each employee
Calculate & process correct amounts incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, etc. with software assistance for weekly, semi & monthly payroll.
Maintain payroll records & record use of vacations, sick & personal days, leave of absence and any other time off.
Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed & prepare reports.
Process & reconcile payments to vendors of employee benefits & deductions.
Oversee annual open enrollment benefit employee meetings. Gather & assist with paperwork.
Maintain administrative procedures for payroll, benefits, new hires, terminations, COBRA, FMLA, workers’ compensation & personnel files.
Reports to the Controller.
Requirements
Skills
Experienced payroll administrator
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals & payroll best practices
Knowledge of payroll legislation & regulations
Proficient in MS Office, Excel & payroll software (Reynolds & Reynolds)
Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality & must maintain highly confidential information
Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
Dependable
Dealer experience preferred but not necessary
Associate degree preferred or equivalent in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus
