We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at ICAT. This role will be based in

Broomfield, CO . This is a hybrid role that requires working at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

Utilize technical expertise and market knowledge to assess risk, determine appropriate coverage terms, and support profitable portfolio growth while ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.

Achieve annual production goals set for the team and department within required risk metrics.

Analyze and interpret engineering reports to assess technical risks and exposures, incorporating findings into underwriting decisions to ensure accurate risk evaluation and pricing.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners to support business objectives.

Mentor and train less experienced underwriting personnel on underwriting guidelines, forms, market conditions, competitors, and relationship‑building techniques.

Qualifications

3+ years of progressive underwriting experience in middle market property insurance.

Ability to underwrite more complex accounts, including knowledge of middle market property forms, pricing, rating methodology, modeling, and valuation tools.

Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude; critical thinking.

Proven underwriting, sales, and agency management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

4+ years of progressive underwriting experience with agency management experience within the commercial insurance industry.

INS or CPCU certification in progress or received.

Strong verbal and written communication including formal and informal presentation skills.

Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with team members.

Benefits

Competitive base salary ranging from $65,300 to $139,000, plus performance‑based incentives.

All employees are expected to work onsite in the local office at least three days per week. The applicable base salary range for this role is $65,300 to $139,000.
