Job Description: Commercial Lines Account Manager
Seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, support team growth, and foster strong client relationships. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to deliver tailored insurance solutions that meet client needs.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients through exceptional customer service and proactive support.
Manage new business, policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and claims in an efficient and client-focused manner.
Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate optimal coverage and pricing options for clients.
Assess client needs, recommend insurance products, and provide tailored solutions.
Educate clients on policy terms, coverage options, risk management strategies, and changes.
Ensure prompt, accurate handling of client requests, inquiries, and transactions.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and insurance products.
Maintain accurate client files and account documentation in line with company policies.
Proactively identify and address potential service issues, providing timely resolutions.
Assist the sales team in onboarding new clients and cross-selling additional products.
Qualifications / Requirements Required:
Experience: Minimum [X years] of experience in commercial insurance, account management, or a related field.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and industry practices.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred
Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, or CISR are a plus.
