
Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

We are seeking a
skilled and detail-oriented Accountant
to manage a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, and financial responsibilities. This role supports multiple business entities and is ideal for a numbers-driven professional who thrives in a remote environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and process improvement.
This is a remote position with minimum of 20 hours per week
Applicants must be U.S.-based.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual and business tax returns for multiple companies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial documentation
Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries for management and clients
Reconcile bank statements and research discrepancies
Process business transactions using accounting software (QuickBooks Desktop and Online)
Provide accounting and financial support to internal teams and clients
Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency
Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation issues
Stay current with continuing education and industry best practices
Qualifications
Proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and QuickBooks Desktop and Online
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting
Comfort with video conferencing and online communication tools
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong numerical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills
Excellent organization, filing, and record-keeping abilities
Data entry and word processing proficiency
Associates degree in Accounting or a relevant certification required
QuickBooks Online experience (2–3 years preferred)
This
contractor position has the potential to convert to part-time or full-time employment
based on performance and business needs.
