Position Overview
Business Banking Specialist within PNC's Retail Banking organization, based in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Job Description
Acquire and expand share of wallet for Consumer and Business Banking opportunities under 2MM in sales revenue. Achieve business results through leadership of and productive collaboration with a wide range of ecosystem partners. Responsible for proactive lead generation and appointments conducted inside and outside of the branch. Deliver a differentiated client experience from acquisition through onboarding and servicing.
Proactively manage leads and generate referrals—leverage experience and acquired knowledge of bank products and services and position appropriately to grow share of wallet and attract new consumer and business households. Manage and grow Business Banking relationships under 2MM in sales revenue. Translate client information from various sources into actionable sales strategy and tactics. Generate quality referrals to ecosystem partners and leverage tools and protocols to maximize business results.
Develop ecosystem leadership inside and outside of the branch as a COI. Work across a broad range of ecosystem partners, including PNCWM, PNC Private Bank, Business Banking and Mortgage. Identify the resource or team of resources best equipped to meet client needs and introduce the client accordingly. Hold partners accountable for routine updates and referral follow‑up.
Improve the client experience and hospitality—differentiate the client experience through advanced conversation skills. Deliver client well‑being through tailored solutions aligned with clients’ holistic needs, including deposits, lending, cash management, payments, and investing. Solve clients’ problems courteously and with urgency, escalating where necessary. Advocate for clients and prospects across product, support, operations or other departments within PNC, identifying trends and unique needs of the client.
Collaborate with the branch team to help them identify consumer and business banking opportunities to create referrals. Work closely with the Branch Manager and Business Banker to follow up on independent opportunities to expand share of wallet with consumer and business clients.
Create client loyalty and grow client share of wallet through a differentiated client experience. Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with clients and position PNC products to meet their needs. Educate clients on options for managing financial transactions by leveraging technology, tools and resources. Apply product and procedural knowledge to identify, mitigate and solve customer problems effectively to drive customer loyalty.
Manage risk through adherence to all policies and procedures, demonstrating sound judgment within established limits. Demonstrate heightened scrutiny to identify and avoid loss. Participate in branch daily operations, ensuring they are completed efficiently and accurately.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job‑specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
