About the Role
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced
Senior Transactional Legal Assistant
to support multiple attorneys in a fast-paced transactional practice. This is a high-impact role combining advanced legal support with administrative leadership, offering the opportunity to contribute to workflow coordination and team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support including calendaring, email management, and document preparation
Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda
Manage attorney schedules, deadlines, and appointments
File legal documents with courts and other entities as required
Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications
Greet clients and maintain a professional, client-focused environment
Review and edit monthly client billing and invoices
Maintain and update internal procedures and workflows
Support attorneys with complex transactional projects
Act as a resource and mentor to junior legal assistants
Provide backup support across the team as needed
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in a law firm environment
Experience supporting senior attorneys or partners preferred
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience with legal billing and document management systems (e.g., PracticeMaster, NetDocuments, or similar)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Discretion in handling confidential information
Compensation & Benefits
$70,000 – $80,000 annual salary (non-exempt, hourly)
