Customer Service Representative

Pay Rate: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Shift: 8 am - 5 pm
Background / Experience
Previous customer service experience required; healthcare or DME experience preferred
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification processes is a strong plus
Strong communication skills with a compassionate, patient‑first approach
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of calls and orders
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients and caregivers with ordering medical supplies, including adult diapers and related products
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance providers
Process new patient intakes, including collecting required documentation and prescriptions
Submit and track insurance authorizations and claims
Communicate with physicians' offices to obtain necessary documentation (CMNs, prescriptions, etc.)
Follow up on orders, backorders, and shipment status to ensure timely delivery
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Handle inbound and outbound calls, providing excellent customer service and support
Resolve billing or coverage issues with patients and insurance companies
